What it is
A color puzzle, designed like an object.
LUM SORT is a logic game that fits in one sentence: sort the colors by pouring liquid between containers until every bottle holds a single color. The mechanic is familiar; the execution isn't. The bottles are glass pieces lit like a product studio, the liquid behaves with real gravity, and the sound is made to be heard up close.
It's Experiment 004 from LUM360 Lab, alongside four other games and interactive experiences. It runs in your browser with WebGL and Babylon.js, with nothing to install.
How to play
Tap a bottle
It lifts and lights up: that's your source bottle. Tap it again to cancel.
Tap the destination
The liquid on top pours if the target is empty or its top color matches, and if there's room.
Sort everything
You win when every bottle with liquid is full and a single color. You can undo without limit.
- Each bottle holds up to 4 units.
- If several layers in a row are the same color, everything that fits is poured.
- There's no time limit: moves count, not seconds.
60 levels
Six collections, one carefully shaped curve.
The levels weren't improvised: they were generated by computer, each one was solved by a solver before entering the game, and its difficulty was measured with real puzzle traits (solution length, deceptive branches, color fragmentation…). Difficulty rises with ups and downs, with a breather every five levels, and level 60 is a signature finale.
- 01–10
CRYSTAL LAB
Crystal, steel, and cool light. This is where you learn.
- 11–20
OCEAN GLASS
Seabed and water reflections.
- 21–30
GOLDEN STUDIO
A golden hour inside the atelier.
- 31–40
CHROMATIC GARDEN
Deep green and orchids of light.
- 41–50
AURORA CHAMBER
A dark chamber with diffuse auroras.
- 51–60
LUM ATELIER
Black stone, gold, and the signature finale.
Completing a collection unlocks a different glass flask (Smoked Glass, Gold Rim, Frosted…). It's purely cosmetic: nothing gives an advantage and nothing can be bought.
The experience
It looks, sounds, and feels right.
The glass, the liquid, and the pour stream are custom shaders on Babylon.js: the liquid surface respects gravity even when the bottle tilts, and the studio light reflects off the glass. The sound is synthesized on your device: glass clinks, liquid, and a generative ambient score that changes with each collection and never repeats the same way.
For everyone
- Color Assist: a distinct symbol on each color, so you don't have to rely on hue.
- Reduced motion and a relaxed, normal, or fast animation speed.
- Keyboard and screen reader: each bottle is a button with its contents described.
- Independent volumes for music, effects, and ASMR, plus optional vibration.
- Pause and unlimited undo: it's a game for relaxing.
Before you play
How do you play LUM SORT?
Tap a bottle to select it, then tap another to pour. You can only pour onto an empty bottle or onto the same color, and only if there's room. You win when every bottle is full and holds a single color.
How many levels are there?
60 levels in six collections of ten, plus a ZEN mode with no goals. Every level was solved by a solver before release, so none of them is impossible.
Does it have ads or in-app purchases?
No. There are no ads, energy meters, waiting timers, or purchases. Cosmetic flasks unlock as you play.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. It's designed for one-handed portrait play first, and it also works in landscape and on desktop. It needs a browser with WebGL.
Is my progress saved?
It saves on your device, with no account or sign-up. If your browser doesn't allow saving, you can still play.
Can I play with help telling colors apart?
Yes. Color Assist adds a distinct symbol to each color. There's also reduced motion, keyboard control, and separate volume for music, effects, and ASMR.
